Region South is one of four regions in Save the Children's Sweden program. In the region, dedicated employees work with activities for children, young people, and parents, as well as support for elected representatives and volunteers. Your team is Småland, so you not only have close colleagues in Kronoberg County but also in Kalmar and Jönköping counties. This wonderful group consists of various roles such as project leaders, process leaders, activity leaders, business developers, and group managers. As an activity leader, you will primarily work in projects and direct support activities in Kronoberg County, based in Växjö. You will conduct activities and provide group and individual support. You will work within one or more areas such as migration, violence, socio-economic vulnerability, and implement interventions based on the target group's needs. In your role, you will collaborate closely with process or project leaders.
Responsibilities may include:
-Collaborating with other actors and the membership movement in carrying out activities with children and parents -Direct support to the target group at the individual or group level. -Contributing to documentation for follow-up and impact measurement. -Contributing to ongoing quality assurance by raising participants' needs and voices to process or project leaders. -Contributing to the development of methods for the intervention by participating in evaluations.
ARE YOU OUR NEW COLLEAGUE?
To succeed in the role, we see that you, as a candidate, have the following qualifications:
-Relevant education or experience related to the assignment. -Experience working directly with children and/or families. -Familiarity with Swedish society and associations. -Ability to express yourself in Swedish both verbally and in writing. -Computer skills and knowledge of the Office suite. -Interest in the Convention on the Rights of the Child and working based on human rights.
Desirable experiences include: -Language skills in languages other than Swedish and English. -Experience working in direct support with the target group. -Networks in civil society and the public or non-profit sector. -B driver's license.
As a person, you have a humble approach to collaborating with others and act as part of the team, including others. You have an understanding of others' situations, listen, and show consideration. Furthermore, you are trustworthy and create confidence while spreading calm and stability. Additionally, you easily find alternative solutions to emerging problems.
